We have been to Rockne's several times and have always enjoyed the food. Portion size is a choice on some items, which is very helpful unless you like big servings. Service has been good. The atmosphere is okay. Sometimes, the volume and music playing is a bit annoying, and the temperature is usually very chilly. Recommend taking in a light jacket or sweater just in case.
Really enjoyed the food here, have never been to this location. We had a Gyro with fries, side salads and a half BLT. We also tried the new Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls. Gyro was huge, packed full of meat. Fries were fresh & hot. The BLT was loaded with bacon and was delicious. Salads were made nice, lots of toppings and fresh lettuce. The new egg rolls were off the charts good, I'd definitely get them again! Our server was attentive, kept drinks filled and had a great attitude. They're not skimpy with portions, you get what you pay for so there's always left overs. Place was clean, etc...was a good experience.
Best experience thus far from Rocknes for us. Our waitress was very nice, prompt, checked in, etc. Our child has needs and a fear of public restrooms. He needed to go and semi-freaked out. My husband took him to the mens room but the toilet flushes scare him so he wouldn't go. Our waitress was FAST to get our check, deliver it, take the payment and say goodbye. She knew! I wish I had caught her name. Robin, maybe? We came in about noonish June 28th and sat on the bar side. Our food was great, the atmosphere was quiet, but the waitress... she was 5 star!
I had the Rocknes Salad with the house dressing and french onion soup. My husband had the Philly beef sandwich and fries. Food was delicious and the service was superb!
Came in after doing shopping at BJs for a quick drink and bite to eat. Sat at the bar and everything was great. Had an appetizer and then a classic salad. Give more pita on the salads!!! Always enjoy a good Rocknes meal. Shoutout busboy Kyle Michel!
We went to the portage street location this week. The food was delicious and the servings were enough that I had leftovers for two lunch’s almost.
I have been going here for years now, and I've never had a bad meal. It's nothing fancy, but it is very consistent. I like getting the Philly, the French fries, and soup with extra pita bread. I enjoy their mushroom soup, the French onion, and the chicken and dumpling. My favorite is their cheesy ham and potato, but it is no longer on the menu. Portions are large and there's always enough to take home.
Excellent food with a wide variety to select from. I love the atmosphere and the people are always great.
